Alan’s Bio

Born in the Midlands in the middle of the Second World War, I became an avid reader at an early age. On leaving Grammar School, I began a career in Local Government, initially in Administration (awarded Diploma In Municipal Administration) later moving to Personnel Management (became a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel Management). I worked for a number of local authorities, retiring as the Head of Personnel for a local authority in Dorset.

After my second marriage (to Hazel), I became a keen traveller and user of a Kindle.
